  • I haven't posted on here for ages...looks like almost a year!  oh well, life goes on!  The last post Carter was just born.  Now he is babbling, trying to crawl and being lived to death by his sisters!!  We are still homeschooling...Tori is in 2nd grade, Mariah is in Kindergarden and Abby is, well, she's here...:)  I like it but it is more challenging to keep everything happening!  Not a whole lot else is going on.  Tonight we are having a hot dog roast (if it doesn't rain).  I am looking forward to that.  Daryl and the kids got the yard looking good...not perfect mind you, but good!  Time to go get some stuff done for tonight!  Have a great weekend!

  • It has been over 2 months since I last updated!!  But something happened last week and I want to share it!!  To start at the beginning...we are having a baby!!   We are very excited!  I am due in the beginning of July!  Along with the yucky's of being a few months pregnant my girls were sick (Abby was sick for 3 weeks off and on!).  So my emotions the way they are I was feeling kinda blue.  I was telling my sister this and she had this brain storm to take me away for the day.  She decided to do it Mon.  She was telling my mom and my sisters about it and they thought it would be fun to come too!  They started looking for tickets (I'm assuming you know they live about 15 hours north of us!).  They found some at a great price and bought them all without me knowing it!!  So Sun. night at church Mandy gave me a note telling me to be ready at 5:00 Mon. morning!!  That is all she said!  I am not a spontaneous person so this was really a stretch for me!  But I was looking forward to a day away!!  She picked me up and we were on our way!!  She said we were going to Jacksonville FL. to the beach and shopping or whatever we wanted!  So we drove over there!!  When we were getting close she said she wanted to go to this specific Denny's to eat breakfast.  I wasn't sure why but I wasn't really asking questions.  We finally found the restaurant and pulled in.  We went in and the hostess ask us how many were in our group...Mandy said 2 then the hostess asked us if we were with the group and Mandy said yes...I thought she must have misunderstood her.  That was until I looked were she was leading us!  My mom and 2 other sisters were sitting at the booth!!!  I have never been so surprised in my life!!  I couldn't say anything!!  It was so wonderful!  After a lot of laughing, crying and talking I found out how they had worked it all out!!  I am still amazed that I didn't have a clue!  We had a wonderful day together...we shopped, talked, went to the beach, talked, ate, talked, shopped, talked, went to the beach again, talked some more and just had a splendid time!!  We spent to night and took them to the airport in the morning.  It wasn't to hard to say good bye because we will see them again in 2 weeks at Christmas!!  Needless to say I came home tired but feeling much more pink then blue!!  Thank you to everyone involved in this great day!!

Here is a pic of all of us.  Of course I didn't think to bring my camera so for more pics see my sisters sites.100_1828.JPG

  • Sorry it's taken so long for me to update! We have just been so busy getting the house ready and I'm pleased to say that we've successfully moved into the new house! We are still waiting for our internet service, so maybe when we get that installed I'll post some pics of the house.

  • I'm finally going to update...I can't possible fill in the blanks from the last post so I will just mention a few things that are going on here!

My parents were here a couple weeks ago and we had a wonderful time with them!!  For those of you who live close to your parents and family count yourself blessed!!  It was a wonderful couple of days!  We left the same time they did for a wedding in Michigan.  We drove part way together then had to split ways.  Tori was a flower girl in the wedding (I know i should have pics but my camera battery died).  She did great and the wedding was beautiful!!  Such a sweet, romantic service!  We left to come home right from the wedding.  Got home Sun. night.  Monday Abby was running a fever which was the start of a long 2 weeks!!  I think I was at the doctor and hospital at least 5 times (maybe more)!  We did a number of tests and could find nothing!  She is better now!  Maybe a strange virus or something.  In the midst of all this we are trying to finish remodeling the house (which i do have pics of).  We've been there every night this week!!  It's coming along good and we hope to move in a couple of weeks!  It will be nice to be so close to the farm!  Although i'm not sure about the smell!!  I can't smell it all of the time...so hopefully people will still come visit :)  Oh and i can't forget...we started school!  We are almost done with our 2 week!  It is going great!  I'm just taking it easy till we get into the house.  The girls are enjoying it.  We are still trying to figure out what to do with Abby!!  She does pretty good for about 5 min.  then....well we will just have to keep working at it!!!

Here are a few pics of the remodeling:
